 HOODATHUNK STREET TEAM Thank you for the interest in joining the Hoodathunk promo team. We are always looking for outgoing reliable individuals to help spread the word in their community. Hoodathunk appreciates your dedication in helping to make the scene grow and will compensate your hard work with admission to shows and other various perks. If you are interested in signing up, please email us at streetteam@hoodathunk.org complete with your full name, address, phone #, email address, and what area of promotion you are most interested in assisting with. If you have any other ideas or suggestions on ways to help promote events, please let us know. FLYERS • Passing out handbills at other like minded shows and events is great way to promote. If your local record store or other cool retail stores have flier bins, you can leave some there as well. Please don’t waste any of these materials as they cost us a lot of money to print, cut and ship out to you. POSTERS • Hanging posters in the central parts of town and high traffic areas (music stores, liquor stores, novelty shops, coffee spots). Ask the store owner nicely if you can put them up in the front store window. Please also make sure there are posters near and at the venue hanging up. If you were the band rolling into town for the first time, where would they see the posters up? ONLINE • Internet is a great way to help with promotions through blogs, chat rooms, message boards, emails. Join & promote on social groups such as MySpace, Facebook, Tribe, and various Yahoo groups. MAILING LIST SIGN-UPS • Hoodathunk can always use help at the shows with signing people up on the email list before, during set breaks, and after the show.
